The Elypik Tortoise module is a free-movement module from the world of LAE – The Adventures of Ely.
Designed as a discovery companion, it invites the child to move, climb, crawl, go underneath, get over an obstacle or hide. Its low, soft and rounded shape makes for reassuring use, suited to a child's first motor discoveries.
Inspired by the Pikler approach, the Elypik Tortoise lets the child experience their movements freely, with no prescribed use. It can become a tunnel, a little bridge, a hideaway, an obstacle or one stage of a motor-skills course.
Its link with The Adventures of Ely adds an extra imaginative dimension: the child isn't just climbing onto a module, they're stepping into a world. The Tortoise becomes a play character, a soft and reassuring landmark, while remaining a genuine support for motor development.
Made from natural birch plywood, the Elypik Tortoise is designed for everyday use at home, at nursery, in nursery school or in a childcare setting for the very youngest. Its large openings, rounded edges and exposed joints underline a robust, natural and durable construction.
