A family story, that became a workshop story
Elysta was born from a cloud bed built for our daughter Elyne, and from the desire to do things right. Since 2017, we design, make and repair wooden children's furniture — here, in Andenne, with our own hands.
A cloud bed, two first names
Elysta is first and foremost Erwan and Maud: him on design and making, her on the design of the children's furniture. It all started there — a cloud bed, first names (Elyne and Stan), and the desire to do things right.
Today, we are a small, close-knit team. We design, make and repair here, in Belgium — not in an office, but in a real workshop. The same hands, from drawing to installation.
Who does what
The people who design, make and install — because they are the workshop.
A former stage manager and then director (some sixty films), he left it all behind for a more human trade. He fell in love with wood while restoring an old house. Today: design, drawing, quotes and client contact.
The design of the children’s furniture is all her. The world, the softness, the eye for detail — she is what makes the difference on every project.

Sanding, lacquering, painting. A keen eye for detail — nothing leaves until it’s spotless.
Everything starts in our workshop, in Andenne
We choose the wood — mainly birch plywood —, we shape it, we assemble it, then we apply healthy finishes. No reselling of imports: what you receive comes from our workshop.
That's what lets us do bespoke work, repair rather than replace, and keep a direct relationship with families, nurseries and schools.
