Elysta (SEMEM Art & Design SRL) designs and makes wooden nursery and preschool furniture in-house. Because childcare settings have their own demands — intensive use, safety for the little ones, frequent cleaning — every piece is built to last: robust wood, healthy and washable finishes, and repairability. From the motor-skills module to the bespoke cloakroom, we make everything in Andenne (Wallonia) and install according to the project.

Do you make nursery furniture in-house, in Belgium?
Yes. Everything is designed and made by SEMEM Art & Design SRL in our workshop in Andenne (Coutisse), in Wallonia — no reselling of imports.
Does your furniture meet early-years standards?
Our furniture is designed for childcare settings (stability, softened edges, healthy materials) drawing on the applicable normative references: EN 1729 (tables/chairs), EN 716 (cots), EN 1176 (play structures) depending on the product.
Does the furniture withstand intensive use?
Yes: wood (birch plywood), solid joinery and washable finishes, built for dozens of children every day. And it's repairable.
Do you operate across Belgium?
Yes, in Belgium (notably in Wallonia: Namur, Liège, Walloon Brabant, Hainaut, Luxembourg) and in France depending on the project. Delivery and installation are specified in the quote.
What budget for a nursery or school project?
Depending on the surface area, furniture and installation: order of magnitude from €2,000 (a few modules) to over €15,000 (a full fit-out). An approximate budget in your request speeds up the reply.
Do you make bespoke pieces for institutions?
Yes: modules, cloakrooms, reading corners, barriers, radiator guards and fittings drawn for your space.
What lead times for a collective project?
It depends on the scale of the project. We give you a firm lead time along with the sketch and the budget.
Can the order be spread over several stages?
Yes, a project can be split into phases according to your budget and schedule (for example by room or by term).
