Wooden rocket & playground for a playground café

The need

Pause and Play, a café-playground in Ixelles for families with children up to 6, wanted a wooden play area that would become the heart of the venue: captivating for the children, welcoming for the parents settled in the café.

The constraints

Very intensive use in a public venue, safety for toddlers, integration into an air-conditioned café, and a soft wooden aesthetic in keeping with the decor.

Our solution

A large birch rocket with a porthole and an interior cockpit — a console of light-up buttons and joysticks, a little control panel —, a curved wood-bordered playground (manipulation panels), and a perch level with a jump net, tube slide, climbing wall and fireman's pole. All designed for this specific venue, with a module dedicated to toddlers.

Manufacturing

Designed and made in our Andenne workshop (plans and CNC cutting), from drawing to installation.

Delivery & installation

Delivery and installation on site, in Ixelles.

The result

The rocket has become the emblem of the venue: the children settle in at the controls while the parents enjoy the café.
